PURPOSE OF CLASS:
At UConn Health this grant funded position is responsible for the marketing and communications initiatives for the Student Loan Repayment Program funded by CT DPH.

30pm with a 30 minute unpaid meal breakEXAMPLES OF DUTIES:
Works in conjunction with other members of the SLRP and CT AHEC senior leadership to administer the state-wide Student Loan Repayment Program for clinicians providing patient care in health professions shortage areas.
Provide web and marketing support for SLRP that includes working with contractors, UConn IT/Communications, Governmental Relations, the School of Medicine, CT AHEC, CT Department of Public Health, etc.
Provide knowledge of marketing and promotion initiatives/strategies.
Create product and materials in a timely fashion to meet SLRP needs and deadlines.
Assist in the design and build of the CT AHEC SLRP website and portal which includes different functionality (i.
e.
scheduling appointments with Academic Program Coordinator, Commonly Asked Questions, Videos and Eligibility Check-Lists).
Provide guidance to contractors on UConn web-based requirements.
Monitor web portal traffic and provide monthly summaries of activities and demographics of individuals/agencies seeking information.
Provide information and support to monthly SLRP field placement reports and documentation.
Provide training to CT AHEC staff on relevant programmatic requirements for SLRP policy accreditation compliance for web portal and marketing materials.
Provide information for ongoing databases of all relevant accreditation data including but not limited to:
field strength monthly reporting, applicants, facility site visits and corrective actions.
Contribute to reports, documents, and presentations about current and projected CT AHEC SLRP readiness, including necessary documentation of compliance to HRSA and ARPA funding.
Work with other members of the SLRP team and contractors to develop and support the Marketing materials that are web-based and in-print.
Coordinate with the Administrative Officer/Administrative Program Coordinator marketing outcomes and tools to document SLRP activities.
Work with the Academic Officer and CT AHEC leadership, support the SLRP site visits; manage invitations for facility partners and loan applicant, provide detailed summary of meeting and recommendations.
Other duties as required.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Knowledge of marketing and promotion initiatives/strategies Knowledge of web design principles and accessible web design principles based on federal or state guidelines; such as usability.
Knowledge of communication methods and procedures Considerable communication, presentation, writing and research skills Ability to prioritize tasks and managed deadlines.
Artistic and creative abilities; ability to utilized various multimedia tools.
Considerable knowledge of social media platforms and social influencer management tools to optimize engagement Knowledge of content management and web design Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal and relationship building skills Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Ability to express new ideas and seek innovative new approaches to challenges.
Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize and meet deadlines EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
GENERAL
Experience:
Six (6) years of a combination of web design and communication experience.
SUBSTITUTION ALLOWED:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, multimedia or closely related field may be substituted for four (4) years of the general experience.
Master's degree in a closely related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Excellent oral and written communications skills.
Ability to apply complex materials.
Collaborative ability, desire to work within a team environment.
Ability to travel within the state to contractor and/or SLRP facility agencies.
Presentation of portfolio that demonstrates skill and experience with multimedia and marketing.
Successful training/certification of web-based platforms and expertise.
Bilingual written and spoken language skills - Spanish preferred.
