2 2 hours ago Full Job Description Basic Scientist Assistant Professor, Director CT Core Department of Orthopaedics The individual will be responsible for the direction /administration of the microcomputed tomography ( CT) Core.
The faculty will dedicate the remainder of his/her effort to investigations pertinent to the architecture and biological aspects of the skeleton.
The specific field of research will be the faculty's choice, but it is expected that the research will address fundamental questions related to architectural or physiological aspects of the skeletal system.
Although a startup package is offered by the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, it is expected that the faculty will obtain extramural funding in the future to support his/her research endeavors The research faculty will work in a collegial environment and should collaborate, when appropriate with scientists working in the Department of Orthopedics, in the Musculoskeletal Institute and UConn Health.
The faculty is expected to share knowledge and teach trainees, graduate students, and residents as necessary.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
