com Job Description McPhee is seeking an energetic, team player to serve as a Proposal Development Coordinator (PDC).
The PDC is the main point of contact for all McPhee's bid proposals and responses to solicitations.
The PDC organizes all proposal development functions necessary for sales and project acquisition activities.
The PDC will have the opportunity to work alongside estimating, project development, and project management teams.
The PDC will perform a wide array of tasks and must be able to triage competing priorities.
The PDC's role requires professional skills, organized work practices, teamwork, and strong communication skills.
Primary Responsibilities Create and compile proposal elements such as executive summaries, organizational charts, key personnel resumes, commercial clarifications, technical clarifications, T&C markup, labor rate sheets, equipment rate sheets, etc.
Create Request for Proposal (RFPs) documents, sort bid documents into bid packages, load to FTP site, submit requests to vendors/subcontractors Create bid leveling sheets for quote comparison Assist with contract & document review Create electronic and printed project turnover files Download, file, and print bid documents Organize electronic estimate files for standardization and ease of access; emphasis on master sets of documents and version control Maintain bid calendar Work with Estimators to develop final project proposal and all required documentation Request and process bid bonds, special insurance riders, and OCIPs Review estimating checklist to catch potential errors Create and submit formal Requests for Information (RFIs) throughout bid process Maintain estimating contact list of subcontractors & vendors Create job kickoff agendas, meeting schedule, and required documentation.
Develop competency in preparing company prequalification's and gradually assume this role Knowledge & Skills Proficiency with all Microsoft's suite of products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Project and Outlook) Familiarity with:
BlueBeam Revu or Adobe, FTP sites, Primevera Knowledge of PDF creation, markup and manipulation Ability to work in a collaborative environment with a diverse group of professionals Ability to meet deadlines and multitask in fast paced environment as well as prioritize assignments from multiple individuals Ability to proactively identify problems and propose solutions Ability to communicate effectively and work productively with clients, owners, project professionals, and field and office staff Technology and computer savvy -must be able to navigate computer programs and the Internet easily Experience with document tracking and retention Education Degree in Business, Accounting, Marketing, Law, Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or comparable field.
