This position reports to the US Disability Product Head.
The responsibilities include:
Support of product pricing and profitability analysis for Disability portfolios, including analysis of pricing and renewal strategies, development of assumptions, experience monitoring, product development support and underwriting support.
Close partnership with teams of underwriters and sales professionals to provide case specific support and develop best in class risk assessment tools.
Development and implementation of pricing, rating and risk assessment tools.
Support of product maintenance/management and maintenance of related documentation.
Rate filings and regulatory compliance.
At least an ASA designation and 7
years of actuarial experience with at least 2 years of Group Employee Benefits Life and/or Individual Disability pricing experience.
Must be proactive, motivated and challenge status quo.
Technical experience with demonstrated experience building rating tools.
Comfort with ambiguity.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to convey information to others in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
Demonstrated ability to perform effectively in an environment of constant change.
Strong understanding of pricing and product development concepts. American International Group, Inc.
