We have an exciting opportunity for a seasoned HR Business Partner to lead the HR team in driving and supporting the growth of The Jackson Laboratory for Genomic Medicine in Farmington, CT. The successful candidate will be a trusted advisor to the leadership on cultural, workforce and organizational issues that have an immediate and urgent impact to the organization and its people.
The Human Resources Director plays a key role in developing and driving a talent agenda that aligns with JAX-GM business priorities. The Director,HR will partner with leadership and teams to identify opportunities, develop solutions and strategies, and ensure results and impact. The Director,HR will also play the critical role of coach and advisor to senior leaders regarding people and strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
Administering all Laboratory policies related to recruiting, training and development, performance management, compensation, benefits, immigration, employee relations, disciplinary actions, staffing and succession planning.
Developing, aligning and executing HR programs and initiatives in support of the Laboratory's strategy.
Partnering and advising leaders on communications and engagement strategies to support growth and retention.

Required Skills
Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology or related field; Advanced Degree a plus.

years of HR Generalist/Business Partner experience and management experience.
Experience in a research/life sciences organization preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communications skills to work in a high-profile, fast-paced environment requiring discretion, judgment, tact and diplomacy.
Strong business acumen, customer focus and influencing skills with all levels of management.
Ability to set goals, measure progress, lead and motivate others toward accomplishment of shared goals.
Strong budget and program management skills and the ability to effectively utilize resources in delivering program/project goals.
Must be flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of a complex research organization.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
