The American Red Cross is currently seeking candidates for our Hospital Services Technician position to work out of our Farmington, CT location.
SUMMARY DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:
Controls inventory of blood products.
Assesses product replacement needs and recommends inventory levels to supervisors.
Evaluates blood product requests to determine products to be issued and notify hospitals as to disposition.
Coordinates blood product delivery; prepares appropriate invoices and distribution methods.
EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING REQUIRED TO DO WORK:
Two years of college with Biological Science courses preferred or 2 years training in the Product Management Department required.
One-year experience in a hospital, blood bank, or related medical environment.
Computer skills required.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Excellent communication skills.
Numerical aptitude, ability to make correct decisions under pressure.
Maintain favorable public relations.
Problem solving skills.
Ability to lift boxes up to 45 lbs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
